Neck training

Does anyone implement neck training in their workouts? I have seen images of Channing Tatum and rugby players with their thick neck appearance removed. It looks hilarious 😂; I believe the neck can make a person’s physique look larger than it actually is :0.

Anyone do this at all? (thick neck, no girth no worth!).

Unless I was a pilot or wanting to be a pro boxer I wouldn’t bother. Personally I think it’s dated and only applicable for very specific purposes

Even in my days as a rugby forward I never really trained it, just gained a thicker neck as a by product of the other training and activity I was doing. As Mo said short of being a pilot/F1 driver or rehabbing an injury I wouldn’t really put any emphasis on it IMO

I know Jeff Nippard has done videos on it, he trained his to help get rid of his pencil neck. Probably has it’s place in certain circumstances, but for the majority, not worth it.

Used to train it when I used to box with a weight plate and a neck harness, unless your in a sport like rugby or anything that is gonna put pressure onto your neck e.g. getting punched in the face, I see no need to train it personally.

I think putting on a good amount of weight really increases your neck if your a bit of a unit chances are your going to have a beefy neck
